A very warm welcome to Hengistbury Head Sailing Club. We are a unique, friendly Sailing Club aimed towards adults and over 12-year-olds who simply want to sail and hone their sailing skills, whether rusty or having just learnt. No need to own a boat and at limited cost to the individuals concerned. Just one condition – to join, you need to be able to sail to RYA Level 2 or equivalent. However if you’re not there yet, we do offer TASTER SESSIONS and run a limited number of WEEKEND BEGINNER COURSES

WE SAIL IN THE BEAUTIFUL LOCATION OF CHRISTCHURCH HARBOUR AND OPERATE OUT OF THE HENGISTBURY HEAD OUTDOORS CENTRE WHICH HAS GREAT FACILITIES AND AN EXCELLENT WATERFRONT. WE HAVE A GREAT FLEET OF WELL-MAINTAINED DINGHIES AND ALL OUR SESSIONS ARE SUPPORTED BY SAFETY BOAT COVER AND QUALIFIED INSTRUCTORS.

If you’ve never sailed before or want to brush up on your skills, are able-bodied and 18 or over, we offer a TASTER sailing session where you will sail with our club members during one of our regular sailing sessions, at a cost of £25.00 each. Contact [email protected] for more information.

• We provide the boats.
• No fancy sailing clothing is required.
• Friendly, helpful guidance given in all sessions.
• All sailing is covered by an experienced sailor or qualified instructor with full safety boat cover.
• There is a great ethos of helping each other on and off the water.
